Dodd Island Douglas, MA
Dodd Island is a seven-acre private island situated in the middle of Whitens Reservoir. The island provides a fun getaway for the summer months in a cool cozy rustic cabin setting! The main cabin is complete with a sleeping loft, kitchen, futon beds, and a large deck connected to the swimming area for barbecuing and swimming. The sleeper cabin is outfitted with a queen size bed and a large panoramic window overlooking the waters edge.
Whitins Reservoir is a private reservoir only accessible to those fortunate enough to live on its shoreline. With a maximum depth of 20ft around the island and beautifully clear water with visibility up to 30ft, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Across the way from the island is a state forest with trails for hiking and biking that weave through the forest for miles on end!
Bring your own boat for water skiing, tubing, and fishing or rent one of ours! We offer additional pontoon boat rentals to maximize your enjoyment on this private island rental! No boat, no problem! The Dodd Island Ferry (row boat) is available for your complimentary use. The island itself is less than100ft from the boat launch and this makes for an easy row across the way. Dodd Island is the perfect playground for friends and family.
